JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCES – Electronics and Information Engineering

JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCES – Electronics and Information Engineering (JASEIE) is a bimonthly aimed at dissemination and exchange of new findings in scientific researches with emphases in engineering-related disciplines. It is sponsored jointly by Shanghai University and Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and published by Shanghai Science and Technology Press.
The principal scope of the Journal is electronics and information science and technology, including communication engineering, signal and information processing, computer science and applications, electronic engineering, control and systems, etc. The Journal also accepts submissions in other related areas. Pure mathematics, theoretical physics and managerial science are considered unsuitable to be published in JASEIE.
    1. Requirements for Submitted Manuscripts
? The research topic and findings must be clearly stated, with in-depth analysis, rigorous proof and verifications of the results, and experimental data to support the conclusions. Submissions both in Chinese and English are accepted. The language usage must be clear and correct to ensure good readability. The submitted manuscript should include both Chinese and English titles, author names, author affiliations, Chinese and English abstracts and keywords, main body of the paper, and a list of references. The title should be concise and right to the point with no more than 20 Chinese characters (10 English major words) in general.
? A brief introduction of the first author and supervisors of Ph.D. candidates, if any, and the title and grant number of scientific foundations supporting the work should be given in the footnote of the first page. If the first author is a research student, information of his/her supervisor should be provided as the contact author to facilitate post-publication communications.
? Up to three levels of section titles can be used without indentation. The maximum length of each paper is 8,000 Chinese characters or 5,000 English words. Technical reports should not exceed 4000 characters.
? Excessive figures should be avoided. Figures must be of good quality and appropriate sizes to ensure high quality reproduction in the final print with clearly readable lines, symbols and legends. Meanings and units of quantities must be clearly given. Images must have sufficient resolution and clarity. Figure number, title and captions should be given below the figure and centered, both in Chinese and English.
? Tables should be presented using the three-line style. Additional lines may be added if necessary. Table number, title and captions should appear above the table and centered. Name and units (using standard signs) should be given clearly. Units identical throughout can be put on the top-right corner of the table.
? Names, units and signs of variables must comply with the international standards. Capitalization, subscription or superscription, italics and boldface should be made clear to avoid ambiguity.
? The authors are advised to pay special attention to the quality of the title and abstract, and the citation of references. In general cases, the number of reference citations should be no less than 10, which must include recent representative publications. Failure of citation to the most relevant references may very likely lead to rejection of the submission since it indicates an insufficient study of the related researches therefore lack of solid foundation. Internal communications, unpublished writings, and low-level materials are considered unsuitable for citation. Cited references should be numbered according to their order of appearances. Use [J], [M], [C], [D] and [P] to indicate journal paper, book, conference paper, degree thesis and patent, respectively.
? The following is a sample of list showing the format of each type of the references.

    2. Notes and Implications
? Hardcopy prints, emails, and online submission are currently accepted, although electronic submission is strongly recommended. Authors choosing hardcopy submission must supply two identical copies. An electronic version must also be provided after the paper is accepted for publication. The submitted manuscript is sent to two referees for peer review. The Editorial Board makes the final verdict based on the review. The authors will receive remuneration after publication.
? Submission of any manuscript implies that the same work has not been published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author will be acknowledged for reception of the submission and, in general, will receive a decision of acceptance/rejection of the submitted manuscript within 5 months.
? JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCES – Electronics and Information Engineering is a member of several scientific databases such as China Academic Periodicals (CD Edition), China Periodical Networks, and Wanfang Data ? Digital Periodicals. Ties with various databases will be further expanded. The author’s remuneration has included the right for use of the published materials in these databases.
